Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Post-Launch Roadmap — July 2026
Official post-launch roadmap for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game: Ranked Season, Spectator mode, Tagah free DLC, animation fixes, Switch updates, and Year 1 Pass content.
One day after the July 23, 2026 worldwide launch, Gameplay Group International published an official post-launch roadmap on @Avatar_Fighters outlining content and feature updates for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. The announcement addressed community frustration over missing Ranked and Spectator modes, confirmed free DLC fighter Tagah, and promised Switch quality-of-life fixes. This page tracks every confirmed roadmap item as of launch week (July 25, 2026).
Ranked Season — Coming Soon
The headline post-launch update is a Ranked Season bringing competitive online features that were advertised pre-launch but absent on day one. Confirmed additions include:
- Ranked Mode — Competitive ladder matchmaking with rollback netcode
- Spectator Mode — Watch live online matches
- Expanded Casual Modes — Additional relaxed online options
- Combo Trials — Structured character combo challenges (previewed on July 20 stream)
- Tutorials — Guided system and character lessons
- Beginner's Zone — Onboarding space for new fighting game players
No exact Ranked Season date has been announced—Gameplay Group stated updates arrive in the "coming weeks and months" after launch. Monitor @Avatar_Fighters and future developer newsletters for patch timing.
Free DLC — Tagah (Fall 2026)
Tagah, an ancient airbender from the Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender film (streaming on Paramount+ from July 25, 2026), joins the roster as completely free DLC—not part of the Year 1 Pass. Gameplay Group called Tagah a thank-you to players. Moveset details and exact Fall 2026 release date are pending.
Year 1 Pass & Fan Vote
The five-character Year 1 Pass remains on schedule: Bolin, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Iroh, plus a fifth fighter decided by the pre-order fan vote (Tenzin, Kuvira, Amon, King Bumi, or Asami Sato). Digital pre-order players can vote through an in-game menu post-launch.
Premium & Pre-Order Content
Deluxe Edition bonuses, Year 1 Pass access, gold costume variants, and Samurai Appa support skin delivery are listed as "coming soon" on the roadmap for players who pre-ordered Standard or Deluxe on PS5, Xbox, or Steam. If your entitlements have not appeared, check platform store receipt status and await the next developer newsletter.
Animation & Visual Improvements
Community feedback flagged incomplete sprite work on Fire Lord Ozai, Avatar State Aang, and Nightmare Korra at launch. Gameplay Group confirmed animation polish for all three fighters, with post-launch alternate costumes for both Avatar State slots targeting Fall 2026.
