Training Mode is where Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game players build muscle memory for the four-button layout, experiment with Flow routes, and learn matchups before ranked play. The mode offers granular control over dummy behavior and visual overlays that accelerate learning far beyond casual versus matches.
Essential Settings
Enable hitbox display to understand attack range and why certain moves whiff at specific spacing. Toggle the level grid for precise distance measurement. Set the dummy to "Always Block" when practicing Throw timing, or "Random Block" to simulate real opponents. Adjust Chi to full when learning Flow chains, then reduce to test Unbalanced recovery scenarios.
Combo Trials and Character Lessons
Combo Trials at launch provide structured combo challenges for each character in the roster. Character Lessons supplement the official YouTube 101 series with in-game tutorials. Start with Trials for your main, then expand to matchup knowledge by recording dummy patterns.
Structured Practice Routine
- Warm-up: 5 minutes of motion inputs on both sides.
- Flow drills: Practice Flow Stance timing and directional techniques for 10 minutes.
- Combo practice: Work one new route from Combo Trials until consistent.
