On launch day July 23, 2026, Gameplay Group International and Paramount Games Studio announced that Tagah from Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender will join Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game as free DLC in Fall 2026. The announcement arrived during the worldwide launch and San Diego Comic-Con Hall H celebration—hours after the twelve-fighter roster went live on PlayStation 5, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Tagah expands the roster beyond launch without requiring Year 1 Pass or Deluxe Edition ownership.

Free DLC vs Year 1 Pass
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game has two distinct post-launch character pipelines. The Year 1 Pass (included in Deluxe Edition or sold separately) delivers five fighters throughout the first year: Bolin, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Iroh, and a fan-voted fifth character. Tagah sits outside that pass entirely—free for Standard and Deluxe owners alike. Avatar Wiki also notes post-launch alternate costumes for Avatar State Aang and Nightmare Korra targeting Fall 2026, separate from Tagah's fighter slot.
Expected Playstyle (Speculation)
As an ancient airbender tied to Aang's film-era lore, Tagah may emphasize traditional air forms distinct from Aang's glider mobility or Zaheer's Red Lotus assassination tools. Pre-release speculation positions Tagah as a potential zoner or footsies specialist who rewards disciplined spacing—though without official footage, treat this as informed guesswork until a character trailer drops. Supports remain unannounced.
